A lot of people face this issue. Where no productive things to do when bored can be found easily. Nothing rids the boredom.

But when you do things that trigger high dopamine stimulations more often. Your standard for releasing dopamine gets high. So then, low stimulations can’t release any dopamine at all. Even the high stimulations start to release less dopamine over time. Thus generating the feeling of boredom. This makes nothing feel as interesting as before. The only way to fix this issue is to get your dopamine standards back down. So you can again enjoy the little things like you used to do.

Short stories, poems, creative thoughts, personal theories, etc. Another thing to keep in mind is, you shouldn’t be too serious about it. That way, you will be too reluctant to write down anything. That is your journal. Nobody but you can see it. Just write something whenever you feel like it. A few months later or years later, when you check out what you wrote for yourself, you will enjoy reading it. I have a combination of various emotions when reading. I sometimes laugh and sometimes get angry to the point of wanting to even punch myself.

At least, I don’t believe it being able to be helped. Everyone enjoys delicious food. Why not try learning new tasty food recipes? Going through all the hardships to cook something for the first time can be really fun! Even if the food ends up tasting bad, you won’t regret spending time. Okay, you might regret it. I do, a lot of times. But the experience is quite fun! Give it a try, on your own accord.

Listen to audiobooks

It is the same as reading a book, but this time you won’t have to put in much of an effort. Almost everyone has that experience where our parents or grandparents tell us various stories. Be it their own life stories or storybooks. For me, it was mostly my grandparents. I liked it very much! To the point that all of my cousins were gathered for Storytime. That experience is not only great for kids, but adults can also enjoy it a lot! You can try listening to a lot of fun audiobooks. You won’t be disappointed unless you choose a bad audio book. 

Take care of yourself

Walk up to the mirror and look at your reflection. Do you look ugly? If so, then take care of your beauty so you don’t look so ugly. If you look beautiful in the reflection, then don’t you like staring at the mirror? Don’t, stop it already. Instead of just staring at your reflection and admiring your beauty, take good care of yourself so that beauty can last for a long time. Make sure no one calls you uncle/aunt because you didn’t take good care of yourself. It matters the most in many people’s life. Don’t loose your beauty so quickly!
